Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging

The PTC is proud to introduce the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging program, co-chaired by passionate parents Tamarra Ragland and Shalia Cochran. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every student and staff member feels values and respected. We meet the third Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at the Tigard Library. Virtual attendance is also available! 

 

Some of our goals for the year include:​

  • Openly assess beliefs and practices to ensure inclusiveness and guard against discrimination​

  • Encourage PTC activities and communications at the school be planned by a committee that is representative and inclusive of the school population

  • Strive to create a PTC board and membership that is inclusive and representative of the community. 

  • Foster programs and practices that eliminate bias, prejudice, and misunderstandings within their communities.

We are looking for a teacher liaison, if you'd like to nominate someone (or yourself!), please get in touch.
